Excesses at the public holiday in León, Guanajuato, during the first two-thirds of the 19th century

Abstract

In this work I examine the Mexican party in the nineteen century. My intention is to analyze another face of the public party: the disorders that occurred in the context of the bull fights, cockfights, and the carnival party, and the effort of local governments to maintain security and order. The place of study it is the city of León, Guanajuato, from1821 until 1876.
