Notes for sport history in Jalisco: the case of the Crucitas race, 1971–2020

Abstract

The objective of this study is to explain how the Crucitas race emerged and was stablished. To understand how this athletic event developed, I analyze the main patterns – built elements – that have somehow modified the social dynamics of this race. I, likewise, briefly explain how the social context – the situation – has changed in Jalisco in the last 50 years.
