Muchos hombres y mujeres capaces de defender la esperanza de una nueva forma de existencia para su pueblo, pagaron el precio del desarraigo entre ellos y su tierra, su familia, su comunidad, su cotidianidad, obteniendo un nuevo modo de vida.Presento aquí, el rescate cuantitativo de la inserción laboral de personal de salud que ingresó a laborar a la Facultad de Medicina de la UNAM, conformada por estudiantes de medicina durante la década de 1960, exiliados sudamericanos en los 70 y refugiados centroamericanos en los años 80, así como algunos testimonios de médicos, biólogos, químicos, trabajadores sociales y bioquímicos en la parte cualitativa. The Faculty of Medicine of the UNAM asa labor destination for Latin Americanmigrants, 1960-1989 This paper describes how both men and women, who struggled for the hope of people’s new form of existence, suffered the rootlessness between them and theirland, their family, their community, and their daily lives, thus getting a new way of life. Here we present, the quantitative recovery of the health personnel who were employed at the Faculty of Medicine of the UNAM, consisting of medical students during the 1960s, exiled South Americans in the 70s, exiled Central Americans in the 80s as well as the qualitative testimonials from doctors, biologists, chemists, biochemists and social workers.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.31836/lh.18.5266
