Abstract
This article addresses a problem that has been little explored in the literature related to the theory of history, the philosophy of history, and other fields that frequently study the language of History. The objective of this work is to answer a fundamental research question: Does the language of History exist? This refers to whether History as a science possesses an autonomous language with its own terms, or if its language is constituted on the basis of ordinary or common language. To achieve this objective, the work will analyze experts in the field, including both historians and philosophers, and will propose an alternative thesis concerning the two dominant theses on this problem in general. This is a second-order article, functioning as a critical analysis of the philosophical and theoretical literature of history; in other words, it analyzes the academic production of both philosophy and historiography itself as a first-order science.References
